FORT SAN PEDRO
Entrance Fee : Php30.00
Have you been to Intramuros? This one looks like a smaller version of the Walled City 🙂
MAGELLAN’S CROSS
BASILICA DE STO. NIÑO
This Basilica is a few steps away from Magellan’s Cross. They are quite strict with what you are wearing. They do not allow church goers in shorts and sleeveless top to go inside . Don’t worry as they will provide you with shawl for covering.
There is a shop inside the church premises which sells Sto. Niño de Cebu in all sizes.
LANTAW
Aside from good food, this restaurant also offers one of the best views of Cebu. It is located on top of a mountain so if you decide to have lunch or dinner here, you should bring your own ride. We rented a van for the whole Cebu City Tour so we did not had a hard time going up there.
TEMPLE OF LEAH
Entrance Fee : php50.00 per head
This is a new addition to the list of places to visit when in Cebu. Owned by the family of Ellen Adarna (yes, the actress), this place will give you a glimpse of Parthenon in Athens. Soon-to-wed couples, you might want to include this place for your prenup pictorial venues 🙂

TAOIST TEMPLE
ZUBUCHON
We were supposed to eat at Rico’s but unfortunately, their Lechon was already sold out as early as 3pm so we ended up at Zubuchon and it did not disappoint. 🙂 If you wish to bring home Zubuchon in Manila for pasalubong, they have a kiosk inside the departure area of the airport. If I’m not mistaken, it’s 600 per kilo.
We stayed in Express Inn on our last day in Cebu. Among the 3 hotels – both in Cebu and Bohol, Express Inn is the best for me. Location is near the airport and SM City Cebu, hotel staff are very accommodating, nice room set-up (including beds and linens), hot and cold shower and free ham sandwhich for breakfast.
Expenses:
Express Inn : Php1800 for 3 persons
Entrance Fees: Php 30.00 (Fort San Pedro) / Php50.00 (Temple of Leah)
Lantaw : 500 per head for food (divided the total bill among us)
Zubuchon: 200 (I forgot the exact bill we paid but or more less its 200 -250)
Van : Php2500
Van (hotel to airport) : Php1000
Aiza’s Travel Tips:
- If you are travelling with an infant or a toddler, I suggest bring a carrier with you. You may bring a stroller but a carrier will do more wonders. What do I mean by that? Ok I’ll enumerate some of the many reasons why I choose carrier over strollers.
- Does not require much space when travelling.
- It’s much lighter than strollers
- It is easier to breastfeed your baby
- Easier to transfer from one place to another.
2. If travelling with infant or a toddler, make sure to include the following on your bag aside from clothes, diapers etc:
- thermometer, paracetamol, kool fever, Block Bite (insect repellant), wipes.
3. If you plan on getting extra baggage allowance, book it ahead. Purchasing an extra baggage allowance even a day before your flight will save you huge bucks. I purchased extra 15 kilos to and from Cebu few days before our flight and costs me Php576 (roughly less than 300) for the total of 30 kilos. Much cheaper if you exceed on your baggage allowance while checking-in at the counter wherein you will be charged per kilo at a higher price. #RIPWallet :p
4. Hire a van or rent- a-car. Whichever suits your needs, hire or rent one. You will thank me later 🙂
